I presented Real Estate Trends at Grand Lake at Grand Lake Area Real Estate Symposium 02/17/2012. You will find my complete presentation at

          http://www.SlideShare.net/JeffSavage01

If you don't take anything else from the presentation, I want you to know that the real estate market is UP 6.5%, home sales are UP 9%, water front homes are UP 18% and Luxury Homes ($500,000 +) are UP 22%.  This comparison looks at total dollars spent in that category when comparing 2011 to 2010.

The analysis looks at the period 2005 to 2011, and breaks the real estate market at Grand Lake into about twenty different elements.

American Bass Anglers will hold its American Fishing Tour National Championship tournament in Oklahoma for the first time ever at Grand Lake.

The 2012 ABA AFT National Championship Tournament will be held October 24-26 at Grand Lake O'the Cherokees in Grove, Oklahoma.  Anglers can practice on the lake for three days prior to the event.

The tournament draws top weekend anglers from 40 states who qualified through 80 divisional events held throughout the year.  The top 500 points holders from those tournaments may compete in the national championship and share in the over $150,000 total purse.  The winner will receive a new fully rigged Triton bass boat powered by a Mercury outboard and a MotorGuide trolling motor - a package that sells for more than $60,000.
